Summer Camp 2026

We are so excited to be offering our summer musical theatre and technical theatre camp again this year at Kingwood High School!  This camp will culminate in a musical revue performance showcasing everything the students have learned throughout the week, featuring songs from numerous hit musicals.

Cost: $250

 

ACTING TRACK (Grades 1-8): Students will be taking classes in acting, voice, dance, and auditions, all tailored to their age group.  Students will be working on skills to help them gain confidence in performing in front of others and develop a love of theatre! 

TECHNICAL THEATRE TRACK (Grades 5-8): Students will be taking classes in lighting, costume design, makeup, set building, sound, stage management, etc.  These students will get to design our musical revue performance and run all the lights, sound, etc. during the show! 

 

DAILY SCHEDULE:

8:45am: Dropoff

9:00-11:30am: Show Rehearsals

11:30am-12:00pm: Lunch

12:00-2:00pm: Classes

 

DROP OFF: 

On the first day of camp, parents will be required to sign their students in.  After the first day, parents can do a drive-by drop off.  Parents or guardians (on their student’s approved list) must sign out the student every day of camp.

 

FOOD:

Students should pack a lunch each day of camp.  Snacks will be provided.  Please make sure to indicate any allergies or food restrictions on your registration form.

 

WHAT TO BRING EACH DAY:

  • Notebook and pen for notes (grades 4-8)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Packed lunch
  • Attire you can dance in with warm-ups over (acting track)
  • Comfortable clothes (that you can paint in!) with closed-toe shoes (technical track)
  • Hair ties to keep hair back for both dance and tech classes

 

T-SHIRT: All campers will receive a camp t-shirt on the first day of camp.  You will pick your child’s t-shirt size on the registration form.

By participating in the KHS Theatre Camp, I agree to allow Kingwood Theatre to use my child's name and likeness in publicity materials associated with Kingwood Theatre.


I, the undersigned, being the individual, parent, or legally authorized guardian of the student listed above, agree to hold the Humble Independent School District, its Board of Trustees, Administration, and/or Faculty, harmless from all liability for any injuries which my child may receive while participating in any recreational activities or utilizing the Humble ISD facilities. I herewith authorize the Director, supervisor, staff member, and/or district employee to secure medical services for any family member if necessary, and I agree to pay, either directly or through my own personal health and accident insurance policy, all medical or hospital costs.
